Religious Protection: Part Two - Christianity

Religious Protection(Christianity)

This page is a continuation from the previous "religious protection " page found here - "Religious Protection".
I recently asked in the forums of "Christian Cryptozoology and Paranormal Study Group", on Facebook, if there were more Christian prayers or scriptures I could share with you, constant reader, that may aid you in your need for spiritual protection against dark entities brought forth whilst investigating.
Pastor Robin Swope, "The Paranormal Pastor" was forthcoming with some suggested reading, so I decided to add a new page to the website with the good Pastors suggestions.
Soon, I will be asking for religious protection prayers, or scriptures, from other religions to add to our collection here on Eidolon Paranormal

Until then, stay safe!
 - Allen

1 John 4:4

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

You are from God, children, and you have conquered them because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world
4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them.
The saints had overcome these false prophets, but they were of God,
because greater is he that is in you, and the Spirit in them was mightier
than he that is in the world, than the evil spirit, that of the prince of the world,
which was in the false prophets.

Ephesians 1:19 - 23
 (New Living Translation)
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
 Ephesians 1:19- 23
(Common English Bible Translation)
19 and what is the overwhelming greatness of God’s power that is working among us believers. This power is conferred by the energy of God’s powerful strength. 20 God’s power was at work in Christ when God raised him from the dead and sat him at God’s right side in the heavens, 21 far above every ruler and authority and power and angelic power, any power that might be named not only now but in the future. 22 God put everything under Christ’s feet and made him head of everything in the church, 23 which is his body. His body, the church, is the fullness of Christ, who fills everything in every way.

Romans 8:31-39

Romans 8:31-39

31 What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else? 33Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
34Who is to condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.*
35Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36As it is written,
‘For your sake, we are being killed all day long;
we are accounted as sheep to be slaughtered.’
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Paranormal Investigators: Past & Present: Erwin Olde

Erwin OldeParanormal Investigators Nederlands

Today we travel to the Netherlands to meet Erwin and Mariska Olde. Erwin has replied to my questions in such a manner that I haven’t had to edit or write much at all, so without further ado, let me introduce Erwin and Mariska of Paranormal Investigators Nederland
Erwin

My name is Erwin Olde and I am married to Mariska (also an investigator of PIN). I was born in Hoogeveen – The Netherlands and we are still living there.

Ever since I was a young boy the paranormal always interested me. Although my parents didn't believe me if I told them that I saw dark figures in the hallway. But I knew then that what I saw was real.

Since 2002 I started to do some research on my own. I always knew that there was more so I surfed the web for more information about the paranormal and about investigations. The years went on and on and in 2010 I met Ronny (Team NPRT) and he invited us for an investigation. In December 2010 my wife and I decided to start our own team and PIN (Paranormal Investigators Nederland) was born.
Mariska

Being an investigator changed my life. People depend on you, they want your opinion because they know that we believe them. Being an investigator is a way of life.

As I mentioned before, we started PIN in 2010. This is my first team and it will also be my last team. As the founder of PIN, I am also an investigator and most of the time responsible for the daily business (speaking with clients, arrange meetings etc.) Currently, our team has 4 investigators and 1 medium who will support us during an investigation. This person doesn't join us when we are on an investigation, But we can depend on her.

There are many great places to investigate like old castles or a very old forest. But also private homes are great to investigate.
The great thing about being an investigator is that every place you visit you get to know more about the history of a certain area.

Fortress Island IJmuiden
The 3 locations that impressed me the most(so far)are Fortress Island IJmuiden, an old factory and of course my first investigation as a team. All locations are in the Netherlands.

But there are some locations that I really would like to investigate like Waverley Hills (2015), Edinburgh and the Queen Mary 2 and of course, there is a location in Australia, I believe it’s the Westwood Sanatorium, Queensland. But we are also working on a new project about the second world war.

Paranormal investigations are always interesting because you never know what will happen. This year we did an investigation in a private home. Suddenly I got the feeling that the entity was trying to “attack” me because he didn't like my presence  At the and of the investigation we did a ghostbox session and one of the team members asked if the person liked me, the answer was “no”. But the best piece of evidence we have so far was captured on Fortress Island IJmuiden. In this footage, you see 2 white shadows passing by our camera’s and a few seconds later you see the camera moving.

My favourite piece of equipment is my voice recorder. But also the MEL-meter. But there are many cool things to get online. But the voice recorder is a great piece of equipment and probably the most important piece of equipment. But the DVR-system is also great because you can monitor the investigators at a distance and if you see something “strange” on the monitor or the investigator noticed something you can immediately take notes of the action.

At this moment we are very busy with a co-operation with 2 other teams (GH-NrWup – Thomas and NPRT – Ronny). I am always prepared to help people and to inform them about the paranormal.
cemetery in Hallum (The Netherlands)

Since December 2011 we are working with a producer, she is making a pilot for the Dutch TV about paranormal investigators in The Netherlands. I am also being asked for an American Radio station to join them live in their radio station.

Our website (www.p-i-n.nl) is currently under construction, but every new item concerning our investigations, the team of news will also be published on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Paranormal-Investigators-Nederland/221560347908042

We also have Hyves (pi-n.hyves.nl, it is a Dutch social network, and we want to use this for education, information about the paranormal,  especially for children.

Paranormal Investigators:Past & Present: Cork Paranormal Investigators

"Éirinn go Brách"

Cork Paranormal Investigators

This week we visit the Emerald Isle to meet the team members of “Cork Paranormal Investigators”.
Founded in 2006 by Jacqui Horgan and based in Cork City, Ireland, CPI is aiming to collect evidence to prove the existence of an afterlife.
The team currently consists of the following members, engaged in the following roles:
Jacqui Horgan - Founder / Investigator /Researcher
Kevin Healy - Tech Manager / Lead Investigator
Sinéad McDonnel - Web Manager / Investigator
Nicholas O'Sullivan - Investigator
Patti O'Leary - Investigator

The CPI team are a curious bunch, like many other teams, interested to find out for themselves if there is indeed a continuation of our existence after death. All of them have become investigators for various personal reasons, but share the same common interest of answering a simple question 'Is there life after death?'.

CPI lead investigator Kevin had a paranormal experience when he was younger. Kevin was in an old house, doing some work when he heard a door open downstairs. Kevin then heard footsteps crossing the floor onto the staircase. Kevin went to to the top of the stairs to see who was approaching on the staircase from the lower level only to find no-one on the staircase, but the footsteps continued towards him!

I asked the team “How has being a paranormal investigator changed your life?”

Sinead replied on behalf of the team: “Becoming an investigator has made us all more aware of the history and events that have occurred in our Country. We have investigated some locations where a lot of wrongdoings have occurred. By researching these locations we have become more aware of these atrocities. It has also made us all more open to the not so normal goings on in the world.”

Cork Paranormal Investigators lists “The Magdalene Laundries” as their favourite place to investigate

“ The Magdalene Laundries. Every time we go to this location we always get activity. There are times that we can debunk activity and then there are other times where we cannot explain what has happened. A couple of our members have also had personal experiences here.”
“ It is a location that never fails to provide great activity. We have experienced everything from visual sightings, stuff being thrown at us, being touched to disembodied voices and EVP's.”

Other investigations the team have been impressed with include a private location in Cork where the team recorded EVPS that they were later able to correlate with information from research about what had happened in the location 100 years earlier. This is why good research is imperative, you never know when you will get that one EVP reply that ties your investigation results with the locations past!
Another of CPI's favourite locations in “Colaiste Iosagain”, a location that has yielded visual sightings of apparitions and one investigator being hit in the back of the head!

With all the interesting EVPs the Cork Paranormal Investigation team have, stories of being touch and sightings of apparitions, I decided it was time to ask for an interesting story or two!

Allen: Does CPI have any interesting stories related to an investigation that you can share with our readers?
CPI: “We did have one investigation where all the signs were there for us not to go. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. It was one of those investigations where we really should have stayed at home but ended up getting some interesting evidence and also gave us the biggest laugh as a team we have had in a long time. It just showed that Paranormal Investigation can have a humorous side as well.”

As you've previously read, CPI has recorded a great deal of excellent EVP's, the team also lists EVPs as their best evidence to date, but, CPI also has an interesting piece of video footage they are currently having analysed that may prove to be their most interesting piece of evidence of the afterlife yet!

CPI also uses their favourite piece of equipment, the Trifield meter in conjunction with EVP sessions. They have had instances of the meter spiking at the same time voices are recorded, thus adding more weight to the evidence of genuine EVP recordings

To keep up to date with Cork Paranormal Investigators, and to hopefully see the video currently being analysed, please “like” them on facebook to get updates and watch their adventures!

Paranormal Investigators: Past and Present : William "Bill" Tabone

Australian Paranormal Society
William “Bill” Tabone

This week we profile an investigator from Melbourne Australia. Director, Lead Investigator and Team Leader, Bill Tabone of The Australian Paranormal Society.
Bill and his wife Amanda lead the A.P.S. Team, which boasts amongst its ranks of experienced paranormal investigators and researchers, two of Bill and Amanda’s own children, you could say the paranormal is in their blood!

Bill has been interested in the paranormal since he was a young lad, reading everything he could get his hands on regarding ghosts, hauntings, werewolves, vampires and many other types of paranormal phenomena.
He became an investigator after a number of occurrences piqued his curiosity about phenomena. Bill has experienced, whilst fully conscious, the bed covers being pulled down over his body, from both sides of the bed. This cannot be explained away easily as “sleep paralysis” as Bill was awake and fully conscious at the time.
Bill has also seen full-bodied apparitions and a phantom motorbike that used to ride past a country home where he lived.

I asked Bill how becoming a paranormal investigator has changed his life?
 Bill stated
“ It has opened up a whole new world for me, my thought processes, my belief systems.
It has also allowed me to meet some great people and seen the very best and the very worst in humanity.

This isn't the first team Bill has worked in, having run a smaller group previously named “ The International Ghost Seekers Society

One of the places Bill and the A.P.S. Team Investigate often is The Old Geelong Gaol, a former high-security prison that closed its doors in 1991, and is now a museum that is operated and maintained by the Rotary Club Of Geelong.
Bill also lists The Old Melbourne Gaol, The Royal Melbourne Hotel and Exford Hotel as being three other locations the team has investigated that he has personally been impressed with.

The Australian Paranormal Society has captured a great deal of evidence over the years, I asked Bill for a brief description of what the teams best piece of evidence was.

Royal Melbourne Hotel
Bill Tabone: “We captured several full-bodied apparitions at the Old Melbourne Gaol on digital still cameras, the best being what appears to be a 1900th-century nurse,( with clothes) similar looking to what Florence Nightingale would have worn, she is carrying something in her arms. She was captured at the base of a set of stairs, but the interesting thing is that on the other side of the wall behind her was the woman's section of the gaol.”

The Australian Paranormal Society stands as one of Australia's most respected teams, featured on radio, television and in other media, as well as doing talks at local libraries. The A.P.S. Team will soon be featured at the Melbourne Paracon event in March 2013.

Paranormal Investigators: Past and Present: George Shiels

"Core New Zealand"
George Shiels

Born in Scotland but now living in the “land of the long white cloud”, New Zealand's George Shiels runs the team “Core Paranormal NZ”.

George working with members of Haunted Auckland
George started his first paranormal investigation group 3 years ago. Strange things have been happening to George and his family after the passing of a close relative, seeking answers, George sought help from a local team, but was turned away, so he decided to start his own team, and learn the ins and outs of paranormal investigations for himself, and along the way, help others like himself seek the answers to their own paranormal questions.
After a few name changes along the way, George settled on the name “Core Paranormal NZ” and has been using it now for more than two years

George discussing paranormal phenomena with Haunted Auckland

George loves to investigate historic places, and lists his personal favourite investigations as The Tavistock Hotel, Waitomo Caves and a couple of private museums

He states his favourite piece of equipment is a thermal imaging camera because; “ Thermal imaging camera, it gives a different view or twist to how the investigation is going”

In 2010 George and the “Crew”, as he likes to call his team, investigated Pukeora Sanatorium, a World War One respite hospital for soldiers returning from the trenches. The hospital offered to care for soldiers who had inhaled mustard gas and had bronchial complaints or suffered TB
