Taos Hum

What is the mysterious low-pitched hum that is being heard throughout the world?
Heard in the U.K., U.S.A., New Zealand And Northern Europe, the hum can be heard in quiet locations, it is described as sounding like a distant diesel engine idling.
It has so far been undetectable by microphones or VLF antennae.
A recent study suggested that older people, particularly over 50-year-olds, are more prone to sensing and hearing the hum than the rest of the population
