Religious Protection - Part Three - Islamic

Religious Protection
(Islamic)

In keeping with our tradition of unity, fairness and equality, we are adding prayers and scriptures from religions across the globe. We know many Islamic ghost hunters around the world and are often asked by them about spiritual protection when ghost hunting.

It is not our intention to offend anyone of any religion. race or creed, so, if you are offended by what we are presenting on this page, please move on to another.

Islam

Islam is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion articulated by the Qur'an, a text considered by its adherents to be the verbatim word of God (Arabic: الله‎ Allāh), and by the teachings and normative example (called the Sunnah and composed of Hadith) of Muhammad, considered by them to be the last prophet of God. An adherent of Islam is called a Muslim.

Muslims believe that God is one and incomparable and the purpose of existence is to love and serve God. Muslims also believe that Islam is the complete and universal version of a primordial faith that was revealed at many times and places before, including through Abraham, Moses and Jesus, whom they consider prophets.

They maintain that previous messages and revelations have been partially changed or corrupted over time, but consider the Qur'an to be both the unaltered and the final revelation of God. Religious concepts and practices include the five pillars of Islam, which are basic concepts and obligatory acts of worship, and following Islamic law, which touches on virtually every aspect of life and society, providing guidance on multifarious topics from banking and welfare, to warfare and the environment.

" Salah & Du'a "

"Salah" is an Arabic word whose basic meaning is "bowing, homage, worship. prayer". In its English usage, the reference of the word is almost always confined to the Muslim formal, obligatory worship.

Translating salah as "prayer" is not usually considered precise enough, as "prayer" can indicate several different ways of relating to God; personal prayer or supplication is called duʿāʾ (literally "call") in Islamic usage.

Muslims themselves use several terms to refer to salah depending on their language or culture. In many parts of the world, including many non-Arab countries such as Indonesia, the Arabic term salah is used. The other major term is the Persian word namāz (نماز), used by speakers of the Indo-Iranian languages (e.g., Persian) Turkish and Bosnian.

Du’a in Arabic means call, request, supplication or prayer.

The Holy Prophet said: To keep the devils at bay and to destroy the effects of magic recite verses 54 to 56 of Al Araf.

INNA RABBAKUMULLAAHUL LAD'EE KHALAQAS SAMAAWAATI WAL ARZ'A FEE SITTATI AYYAAMIN THUMAS-TAWAA A'LAL A'RSH YUGHSHIL LAYLAN NAHAARA YAT'LUBUHOO H'ATHEETHAW WASH SHAMSA WAL QAMARA WAN NAJOOMA MUSAKHKHARAATIM BI AMRIH ALAA LAHUL KHALQU WAL AMR

TABAARAKALLAAHU RABBUL A'ALAMEEN UD-O'O RABBAKUM TAZ'ARRU-A'W WA KHUFYAH INNAHOO LAA YUH'IBBUL MU'TADEEN WA LAA TUFSIDOO FIL ARZ'I BA-DA IS'LAAH'IHAA WAD-O-OHU KHAWFAW WA T'AMA-A'A INNA RAH'MATALLAAHI QAREEBUM MINAL MUH'SINEEN

[Verily your Lord is Allah who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself on the throne. He draws the night as a veil over the day, which pursues it incessantly; and made the sun and the moon and the stars subservient to His command. Verily, His is the creation and the command. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Call on your Lord humbly and in secret. Verily Allah does not love the transgressors. And do not make mischief in the earth after it has been reformed, and call on Him fearing (His wrath) and longing (his mercy). Verily the mercy of Allah is near to those who do good]

(i) To render null and void the intensity and evil effects of any kind of witchcraft and evil eye recite 121 times the last part of verse 87 of al Anbiya, after Fajr salat for 40 days.

Recite salawat 15 times then say : LAA ILAAHA ILLAAA ANTA SUBH'AANAKA INNEE KUNTU MINAZ'Z AALIMEEN

(ii) To overcome any apparently impossible to manage difficulty recite the above-noted verse as directed in (i) and also 730 times after praying a 2 rak-at salat after midnight with the following acts of self-discipline.

  1.  Do not eat animal meat
  2. Eat any halaal (lawful) food purchased by halal (lawfully earned) money
  3. Give alms to the poor.

To render null and void the evil effects of an evil eye recite the following du-a'a

BISMISLLAAHI ARQEEKA/ARQEEKI MIN KULLI SHAY-IN YOO-D'EEKA/YOO - D'EEKI MIN KULLI SHAY-IN WA A'YNIN WA NAFSIN WA H'AASIDIN ALLAAHU YASHFEEKA / YASHFEEKI BISMILLAAHI ARQEEKA / ARQEEKI ALLAAHU AKBARU WA JALLA JALAALUHOO

(Note: Say 'Ka" if the person, for whom you are praying, is a male or "Ki" if female.
[In the name of Allah I give you in protection (of Allah) from everything that pains you, from everything and the (evil) eye, self-indulgence and the jealous. In the name of Allah I give you in protection (of Allah), Allah is the greatest, and His might is the mightiest]

TAWID OF IMAM HASAN BIN ALI

Whosoever recites the following prayer after every obligatory salat, or keeps its written text on the body, inshallah, he, his family and property will remain safe under the divine protection.

U-E'EDU NAFSEE WA D'URRIYYATEE WA AHLA BAYTEE WA MAALEE BIKALIMATILLAAHIT
TAAAMMATI MIN KULLI SHAYT'AANIN WA HAAMMATIN WA MIN KULLI A'YNIN LAAMMATIN

[I put myself, my children, my family, my property under (Allah's protection )

in the name of Allah's perfected words, from all devils, poisonous animals, and from every evil eye.]

When entering the cemetery

"Oh inmates of the graves, Salaam on you. Allah forgives us and you all. You left first and we will be coming later".

Or

"Oh Muslims residing here, salaams on you, by the will of Allah we will also be coming to you. We seek safety for us and you".

(Muslim)

Religious Protection - Part One

Religious Protection

Here we are offering information on Religious and Spiritual protection remedies used on ghost hunt expeditions, or in your own home.
We do not vouch for the validity of any of the protection suggestions having basis in scientific fact, or actually working - We offer them here purely for entertainment value and will not be held responsible for any resulting outcome, whether good or bad.
These will not be in depth philosophical statements on religion, or why and how faith works. The information on this page is a brief summary of some of the religious and spiritual prayers that we have come across in our time working in the paranormal community.

Prayers to Saints

Many paranormal teams offer prayers to God, Jesus or Saints before and after an investigation. You may have seen such noted investigators as the team from "Paranormal State" offering such prayers before each and every investigation.
Here are some of the prayers we have come across used by investigators

Short Prayer for Protection
The light of God surrounds us,
The love of God enfolds us,
The power of God protects us,
The presence of God watches over us,
Wherever we are, God is,
And where God is, all is well.
St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke, St. John,
Like unto the prophet Jonas, as a type of Christ,
Who was guarded for three days and
Three nights in the belly of a whale,
Thus shall the Almighty God,
As a Father, guard and protect me from all evil.

Protect my Journey
In the name of God I go on this journey.
May God the Father be with me,
God the Son protect me, and
God the Holy Ghost be by my side.
Whoever is stronger than these three persons
May approach my body and my life; yet
Whoso is not stronger than these three
Would much better let me be!
Prayer for Protection Against Curses, Harm, Accidents
Lord Jesus,
I ask You to "protect" our Family (whom I mention by name) from sickness,
from all harm and from accidents.
If any of us has been subjected to any curses, hexes or spells,
I declare these curses, hexes or spells null and void in the name of Jesus Christ.
If any evil spirits have been sent against us,
I decommission you in the name of Jesus Christ and I send you to Jesus to deal with as He will.
Then, Lord, I ask You to send Your holy angels to guard and protect all of us.

Holy Water

Obtained from any Catholic church for a small donation, holy water is a well known religious symbol in the removal of possessions, it is also well known in the battle against vampires - how many vampire movies have you seen where they don't use it?

Once you have obtained your holy water, place it in a bowl small enough to carry - go to the entrance ways of your house and dip your fingers into the water - make a sign of the cross in the doorway.
Some people might add a prayer to this ritual, something like "Lord please protect this house " or " I banish all evil spirits from this house, in the name of The Lord, Jesus Christ"...
After doing the entrance doors, do all the doors and window in the house, the basement and attic if you have them as well or if you are not comfortable doing this yourself, you can ask your local Catholic priest to come and bless your house for you
Holy Water is a powerful spiritual armour.  St. Teresa of Avila, whose temptations were as terrible as anyone’s, has left us these wise words of counsel:
“I have found by experience that there is nothing from which the devils fly more quickly than from Holy Water.  They also fly from the Cross, but they return almost immediately.  Certainly, the power of Holy Water must be great; for my part, my soul feels particular comfort in taking it, and very generally a refreshment and interior delight which I cannot express.”
Long before St. Teresa of Avila, Holy Water was a sacramental in the Catholic Church.  Water, which as a symbol of purification held a high place in biblical times, has retained its rich symbolism.

Red Door

In Catholicism, the red door on a chapel symbolized the blood of Christ, and other martyrs, to signify that the ground beyond the door (inside the church) was holy, and a sanctuary from physical and spiritual evils.
In Ireland, front doors are painted red to ward-off ghosts and evil spirits.

St. Michael Prayer

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Divine Power of God,
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls

Original - Prayer to St. Michael

“O Glorious Prince of the heavenly host, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in the terrible warfare that we are waging against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the evil spirits. Come to the aid of man, whom Almighty God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of Satan.

“Fight this day the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in Heaven. That cruel, ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels. Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory. This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.

“These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where the See of Holy Peter and the Chair of Truth has been set up as the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be.

“Arise then, O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and give them the victory. They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defence against the malicious power of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude. Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly find mercy in the sight of the Lord; and vanquishing the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen.

V. Behold the Cross of the Lord; be scattered ye hostile powers.
R. The Lion of the tribe of Judah has conquered the root of David.
V. Let Thy mercies be upon us, O Lord.
R. As we have hoped in Thee.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto Thee.

Let us pray.
O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy holy Name, and as supplicants, we implore Thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin Immaculate and our Mother, and of the glorious St. Michael the Archangel, Thou wouldst deign to help us against Satan and all the other unclean spirits who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of souls. Amen.”
